Our Statement of Faith

Our Statement of Faith We the disciples of the New Birth Kingdom Church   believe:

  •
  • That the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith. (John 1:1; II Timothy 3:16).

    • That there is one, and only one, true and living God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, whose name is Jehovah, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth. (I Timothy 2:5; John 4:24; Psalm 83:18; Gen 1:1)
    • That there is one mediator between God and man; that is Jesus Christ the Son of God, who was crucified, died and buried. On the third day, He arose from the dead and ascended on high where He took His seat at the right hand of God the Father (I Timothy 2:5; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Mark 16:19).
    • That Jesus' promise of a Comforter is revealed in the person of the Holy Spirit, the third person in the Godhead (the Trinity). (John 14:16-17, 26;I John 5:7)
    • That the divine priesthood of the Holy Spirit is to help, guide and intercede on behalf of the believers, and His present day ministry to saints includes the sovereign distribution of spiritual gifts and empowering them for service in the modern day church. (Romans 8:26; John 16:13; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, 27-31)
    • That being born of the Spirit, the baptism of the Spirit and the filling of the Spirit are distinct, separate, valid and valuable ministries of the Holy Spirit, which may occur simultaneously at salvation. Being baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit may and should occur subsequent to salvation in obedience to biblical exhortation. Being born of the Spirit occurs once and for all at salvation. The baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs once and for all when one requests such. The evidence of the Spirit baptism is the speaking with other tongues. Being filled with the Holy Spirit should not only be a continuous reality but an on-going characteristic of the believer's consecrated holiness. (Acts 2:1-4, 38-39, Acts 9:1-18).
    • That the ministry gifts of the five-fold ministry were given by Christ for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ and are given without regard to human qualifications such as ethnicity, social class or gender. (Ephesians 4:7-13 and Galatians 3:26-28)
    • That the local church is an independent entity with regard to matters of government, policy operation and discipline. (1 Corinthians 5:1-5; 2 Thessalonians 3:6, 14-15; Acts 6:3-5, 14:23; Titus 1:5)
    • That The Pastor is the head of the local church appointed by God, and that the purpose of the pastoral office is to care for, feed, and educate us in the things of the Father, so as to mature us in Christ. The Pastor has been called and chosen of God, and has been given a vision with which he directs the body of believers, bringing about God's plan for this particular ministry. (Jeremiah 3:15; 23:1-4; Ephesians 4:11; Hebrews 5:4; Habakkuk 2:2-3)
    •
    • That we should submit to (The Pastor) the spiritual authority that God has placed over us, because they are accountable unto God, and by doing so we reverence God and secure the blessings that He has intended for us, because he who rejects God's government is rejecting the divine authority of God, which He himself established to govern us. (Hebrews 13:17: Luke 10 :16)
    • That the belief and confession of God's word will produce a change in our reality because the power of life and death is in our tongues, and that anyone who believes that what he says will happen shall see it manifested. It was by God's command that the universe was formed, and since we were created in His image and given the authority to command Heaven, we now have the ability to decree a thing and it shall be established unto us. (Mark 11:22-24; Proverbs 18:21; Hebrews 11:3; Roman 4:17; Genesis 1:27; Matthew 16:19-20)
    • That divine healing or the restoration of health is available to one who believes and acts upon the Word of God and that Jesus is the Healer, that by the stripes of Jesus we are healed (Isaiah 53:5, I Peter 2:24).

The New Birth Kingdom Church subscribes to the doctrinal statements of the Holy Bible and the Christian Faith, and believes that God's Word is the ultimate authority upon which everything we do must be established. For we are "The Place Where God's Will and God's Word Reign Supreme
